Men's 2 dominant against Bournemouth 3's

A 2nd XI boasting a mix of experience and youth put in a sparking display in the newly reorganised league structure that finds them in Division 2 South.

Skipper Rob Goodchild capitalised on Winchester's early pressure directly from a penalty corner after 10 minutes. A minute later the lead was extended as Alfie Marsh had the last touch in a quick interchange within the confines of the Bournemouth "D". The home team's dominance was emphasised with third goal within the first fifteen minutes as Ed Kirkpatrick deflected the ball into the net at the far post from another penalty corner.

Bournemouth's best spell came after half time and had reward from a penalty corner shortly after a rasping shot shook Winchester's bar and post. Winchester recovered their composure and finished with two open play goals, the first from the evergreen Rob Richie and the second from Kirkpatrick to bag his brace.
